Did you know that there are approximately 5,977 local farms in Connecticut, making 60% of our land either farmland, open space or forest? There are close to 900 farms in Hartford County alone! Among the top crops produced are fruits and vegetables, with our most valuable livestock products being dairy products such as milk, cheese and eggs. We are proud to work with the wonderful local farms and vendors that participate in the 2017 Farmers’ Market. Visit us every Saturday to buy products such as produce and cheese from local farms, including 3 vendors offering organic farming products. Our fresh market strives to maintain a variety of quality product offerings for our customers, so stop by to see your favorite providers and you'll likely make some new friends, too.
Interested in becoming a vendor?
Anyone who carries appropriate government issued licenses and insurance for their business may apply to become a vendor. Our vendor application process is simple, and applications can be submitted any time of year for consideration. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Farmers’ Market Committee.
